About Famerlo's AI assistant

Last updated: June 25, 2026

You're most likely reading this because you received an email from Famerlo sent on behalf of a family — and you'd like to know what that is. This page explains it in plain language.

A real person reviewed and approved that message. It is not automated bulk mail, and it was not sent by an AI acting on its own. A member of the family used Famerlo to help write the email, then read it and approved it before it was sent — and that same person is copied (CC'd) on the message, so you can see exactly who is behind it.

What is Famerlo?

Famerlo is an AI-powered assistant that helps busy parents keep on top of family life — their children's activities, appointments, schedules, and the day-to-day messages that come with them. A family talks to Famerlo in plain language, and Famerlo helps them stay organised.

One of the things a family can ask Famerlo to help with is writing an email — for example, letting a coach know a child can't make practice, or replying to a note from school. That's how an email reached you.

A human is always in the loop

Famerlo never sends an email on its own. Every message sent on a family's behalf follows the same path:

  • Famerlo drafts the email from what the family member asked for.
  • The family member reviews it — they see the full message, who it's going to, and can edit it.
  • The family member approves and sends it. Nothing leaves without that explicit, deliberate confirmation.

The person who approved the message is the one accountable for it, and they're CC'd on it. Famerlo's role is to help them write it — never to speak for them without their sign-off, and never to impersonate a parent.

Can I just reply?

Yes. Reply to the email exactly as you normally would. Your reply goes back to the family, and Famerlo helps them read and respond — again, with a person in the loop. You don't need a Famerlo account, and you don't need to do anything special.

What about my data?

To send the message and handle any reply, Famerlo processes your email address and the contents of the correspondence. A few things worth knowing:

  • The information Famerlo stores is held on encrypted servers inside the European Union (Sweden).
  • Famerlo does not sell your information, and does not use it for advertising.
  • Your information is not used to train AI models.
  • To operate, Famerlo relies on a small set of service providers (such as its EU cloud host) that process data on its behalf.

You can read more about how Famerlo stores and protects data in our Privacy Policy and on our Security page.

I don't want these emails

Every email Famerlo sends on a family's behalf includes an unsubscribe link in its footer. Use it and you can choose to:

  • Stop emails from this one family — the relationship you're actually in (the usual choice); or
  • Stop all Famerlo emails sent on any family's behalf.

The same page also lets you report a family if you believe a message was unwelcome or inappropriate. A report goes to our team for review, and it also stops further emails to you. We take these seriously — outbound email is the one place a Famerlo family can reach someone who never signed up, and we want that to stay respectful.
